Adoption Process

• Eligibility Requirements

  • Potential adopters must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Approval from all adults living in the household is required before adopting a pet.

• Application Submission

  • Potential adopters will fill out an application on our website for the pet they wish to adopt.

• Application Submission

  • Potential adopters will fill out an application on our website for the pet they wish to adopt.

• Application Review

  • Our Adoption Coordinators will review the application and reach out to the potential adopter for any clarifications or additional information.

• Home Check

  • Potential adopters will either:

  • Submit pictures and videos for a virtual home check, or

  • Schedule an in-person home check with an Adoption Coordinator.

• Approval or Denial

  • Based on the information gathered, the Adoption Coordinator will either approve or deny the application. If denied, the potential adopter will not be able to adopt that particular pet.

• Finalization

  • Once the application is approved, the Adoption Coordinator and the potential adopter will schedule a drop-off for the pet and finalize the adoption paperwork.

• Note:
  The process is completed as quickly as possible, but the speed depends on how quickly communication is maintained throughout the steps. Thank you for your patience!

• Applications for animals marked “Fosters Not Available” will go on a waitlist. You will be contacted a week before the animal becomes available to discuss starting the adoption process.
